By air

There are three main airports (two public, one private) you can fly thru to access Madeline Island. 

+ MSP International Airport  - 4hr drive and ferry ride
+ Duluth International Airport  - 1.5hr drive and ferry ride
+ Madeline Island Airport - You Made It!

By Car

No matter your starting point, you will be aiming to arrive in Bayfield, WI. From here you will take the Madeline Island Ferry (by foot or by car) to access the Island. Be aware that the ferry closes at around 11pm - 12am

BY FERRY (THIS IS FOR EVERYONE!)

The Madeline Island Ferry launches from Bayfield, WI. It usually runs from around 6am to 11pm/12am in the summer months so please check the schedule before planning your trip. The ferry can accommodate travelers both on foot or by car/bike/motorcycle.
